Description
Malcesine is one of the most popular holiday resorts on Lake Garda.
The town is located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, just a few kilometers from the border to Trentino. Malcesine has been built around the Scaliger Castle and the historical Palazzo dei Capitani, maintaining its medieval townscape until today.
The geographical location of Malcesine overlooks the shore of Lake Garda and the slopes of Mount Baldo, lending itself to various sports such as sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, tennis and miniature golf, but also to trekking, mountain biking and extreme sports like paragliding.
The new panoramic cable car connects the town of Malcesine to Monte Baldo. In the winter months, it allows easy access to the largest ski slopes of Monte Baldo, where a chairlift and four ski-lifts transport you to slopes for various degrees of ability.

The cable car leading to Monte Baldo is divided into two sections: the first, from Malcesine to San Michele is 1512 metres long and the difference in altitude is 463 metres, the second, from San Michele to Monte Baldo is 2813 metres long and the difference in altitude is 1187 metres. -
